I used to be in a dark place. Always grumpy, always sad.
But one day, I decided to reown my life.
It wasn’t easy. It took time, a lot of discipline, and honestly… a lot of fails too. But now, things are getting better. Every single day, I try not to let myself down anymore. I stand up for myself, and I try to do a little better — even if it’s just 1%.
I’ve tried many things, followed a lot of “popular” routines. Some didn’t work for me. But here’s what actually helped 👇
Getting enough sleep has been a real game changer.
Falling asleep before midnight and waking up earlier has completely changed my mood. I feel lighter, more stable, and less irritated.
👉 A regular sleep schedule = better energy, better focus, better emotional balance.
I’ve never been a sporty person. Probably never will be at my core. But I’m trying. And surprisingly… it makes me feel good. Why? Because it gives me something I’ve been chasing for years:
✨ I’m proud of myself.
I’m not doing it for anyone else. I’m doing it for my health and my life. So it’s a non negociable, 5 times a week, i do a little session of strength training then i get on my walking pad for at least 30 minutes. And yes it’s trendy and i also thought it was useless to buy and yet watch me !

I’m not talking about hours of silence in a temple. I’m talking about sitting down for a few minutes, being fully aware of the moment, and just breathing deeply.
Just 5 minutes can help me calm down. It’s not a “magic solution” for depression, but if you’re going through a rough moment, it’s a good way to reground yourself. It reminds you where you are, and what matters.
Not daily journaling. Not gratitude lists. I mean dumping everything out when I’m upset, mad, or sad. Every time someone does me wrong or something goes wrong, I open a page and write it ALL.
I’m not polite. I don’t care about grammar. I just box my keyboard. If digital is not your thing just grab your pen and your journal and let’s go girl !
And honestly?🔥 It feels damn good. It frees up space in my brain, releases anger, and helps me breathe again.
Some might ask: “How does this help your mindset if you’re just getting mad?” Because I let it out — without hurting anyone. And I don’t hurt myself by keeping everything inside either.
I’m not a people pleaser anymore. Do I still feel guilty when I say no? Yes. But I’m working on it. I don’t owe anyone anything.
I’m a good person, I don’t want to hurt anyone — but this is my life. I’m allowed to say no.
That feeling of guilt? It’s just a habit. And habits can be changed.
These are just tools. Everyone has their own path.
None of this is magic. But I truly believe that when you face your weaknesses and start building small habits around them… life can get better — even if it’s just a little bit every day.
You don’t have to transform your life overnight.
Start with one thing. One small shift.
And keep going. 🌞
